The Apostle’s Creed is one of the oldest statements of faith of the church, a statement as part of the unification of the various factions of the Church in 380AD

Today’s second reading is from the First Epistle of John, chapter 3. Though there is no consensus on the authorship of the Epistle, the message is about love and fellowship with God.

Today the newest Deacon in the Episcopal Church, the Rev. Dcn. Jackie McLeod, proclaimed the gospel and preached as she served Christ as a Deacon on Sunday for the first time. Her family and the parish celebrated her at the coffee hour afterward with lots of delicious food and a beautiful cake. Take a look at all the pictures here!
