May 27th is Trinity Sunday, when we celebrate the entirety of the Trinity (God, Christ, and Holy Spirit). The concept of the Trinity is not a biblical one, but a theological doctrine of the church that seeks to give witness to the way in which God acts in the world. The Western and Eastern churches have differing concepts of the trinity, and there are Christians (Unitarians, for example) that are not Trinitarian, meaning they do not uphold this doctrine to be true.
