The Apostle’s Creed is one of the oldest statements of faith of the church, a statement as part of the unification of the various factions of the Church in 380AD

Today’s second reading is from the First Epistle of John, chapter 3. Though there is no consensus on the authorship of the Epistle, the message is about love and fellowship with God.

Today’s Gospel is from John is from the section called the “Book of Signs” in Christian scholarship. It is named that because of 7 notable events, often called signs or miracles

Today the newest Deacon in the Episcopal Church, the Rev. Dcn. Jackie McLeod, proclaimed the gospel and preached as she served Christ as a Deacon on Sunday for the first time.
