Solidarity Marches – Feb 19

There are two events happening on Sunday, February 19th, in support of our Muslim brothers and sisters.  The first is sponsored by St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Clifton and the second is by I AM A Muslim Too! and will be in NYC.  Information on both is below.  Please consider living out your baptismal covenant to “respect the dignity of every human being” by standing up and being counted at one of these marches.  

Clifton March:

In response to the concerns expressed by members of the Clifton Community, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will sponsor a March and Prayer Service on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 1 PM.
The March will begin at 1 PM at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 380 Clifton Avenue, Clifton, NJ and proceed down Clifton Avenue to Main Avenue and conclude at the Veterans’ Memorial Monument on Main Avenue.
We invite people from Clifton and others interested in supporting Immigrants, Refugees and Muslims to join us in prayer and solidarity with Immigrants, Refugees and Muslims who are experiencing concern for their safety and well-being.

NYC March:

A DAY OF SOLIDARITY

Times Square, NYC (48th & Broadway)
Join us for a day of solidarity in support of equality and tolerance, supporting American Muslims. There is no greater time than now to stand up for our Muslim brothers and sisters who are under increasing threat and pressure.

Please join Russell Simmons, Imam Shamsi Ali, Rabbi Marc Schneier, Daisy Khan, Linda Sarsour and many other leaders from the community for this powerful event.
