You might be surprised by what you hear – and don’t hear.  Join Rev. Diana for this three-part Adult Forum series in the Courson Room on Sept. 28th, Oct. 5th, and Oct. 12th.  We are, at Christ Church, a Believe Out Loud congregation – find out why, and why this is so important.  The presentation will review the “clobber texts” – the scriptural passages used to condemn homosexuals – offering insight into the historical context and the meaning for people of faith today.  This presentation is based on a popular series she does on the Montclair State University campus that is titled “Take Back The Bible: A Scriptural Self-Defense Class for the LGBT Community and Their Allies.”  Opportunities for discussion and further reading will be included, so grab your coffee and a bite to eat, and bring it over to the Coursen Room.
